WHO ARE WE?

Is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. She also trained at the prestigious London Academy for Film, Radio and TV, specializing in Film Production.  Before founding Shutter Speed Projects in 2012, Biodun worked as a copywriter in advertising, where she developed a flair for dramatized radio and television ads. Her natural gift for storytelling made her transition into film almost inevitable.  

Her journey into filmmaking was sparked during her time in radio, where she hosted a Saturday show that explored real-life issues. It was here that she truly found her voice as a storyteller, drawn to the complexities of human relationships and the nuances of everyday living in African society.  

Biodun has always been fascinated by the intersection of blue-collar and white-collar narratives, recognizing the depth and authenticity these perspectives bring to screen stories. Over the past decade, she has created heartfelt, human-angle films inspired by her personal experiences and those of others, capturing stories that resonate deeply with audiences.  

She strongly believes in the power of film as a vehicle for entertainment, inspiration, and education. This philosophy underpins all her projects, where her signature approach is to craft strong, memorable characters that embed themselves in the hearts of audiences long after the viewing experience.
